Temporary Property Manager (or Assistant Property Manager)
Contract Length: Approx. 2 months

Pay: Up to £21.65 per hour
Location: Oxford
Core Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
A great short-term opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Manager, or a strong Assistant Property Manager ready to step up, to take responsibility for a student residential property in Oxford. This temporary role is ideal for someone confident, organised, and capable of stepping into a managerial position with minimal handover.
We are seeking someone with demonstrable property management experience, able to lead a small team, oversee day-to-day operations, and maintain a high-quality living environment for students.
Due to the location, the successful candidate will ideally be able to drive and have access to a car.
About the Role
You will take operational responsibility for the management, maintenance, and performance of a property comprising around 370 student beds. Working with a small on-site team, including six Student Ambassadors, you will ensure a smooth running of the building, a positive resident experience, and prompt resolution of issues.
This role blends property management, team coordination, resident engagement, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the property to a high standard

Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively

Ensure full compliance with building health & safety regulations

Maintain positive relationships with tenants and support student welfare

Provide clear and accurate management updates and reports

Oversee change-of-tenancy processes and support annual cycles of work

Lead and support Student Ambassadors, fostering a safe and engaged community

Conduct regular inspections and occasional visits to nearby properties to share best practice
Requirements

Proven managerial experience within property management (essential for this temporary cover role)

Experience managing or supporting a team

Background in property management and/or hospitality (PBSA experience advantageous)

Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving

Strong IT and reporting skills

Sales or basic marketing experience, ideally in education or student settings

Local to Oxford (within approx. 45 minutes)

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
