are currently recruiting for an experienced, strategic
End User Compute / End User Computing Manager /EUC Manager
to join this amazing UK based Charity. The IT department are seeking a talented individual with significant experience of managing hardware, relationships, assets and future planning for this business critical function. The
End User Computing Manager
will be joining at a critical time where there are many IT / technology change and transformation projects taking place. We are looking for someone who can plan for the future and navigate the best and most efficient ways of delivering services to all users across the business. (circa 7000+ employees). This role would suit an experience manager who enjoys the challenge of working in a dynamic and changing environment. This is a new and exciting senior role reporting directly to the Head of Infrastructure.
End User Computing Manager landscape and core duties:
The IT department, support 7000 users across 900 locations, comprising of a comprehensive IT infrastructure delivering several line-of-business systems which reach out to all staff.
You will have responsibility for the strategic management, planning and control of the user facing infrastructure such as Thin Clients, Laptops, Chromebooks, and Macs, utilised throughout the UK. This includes the desktop operating systems and security.
You will develop and implement best practices to enable the successful installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of the assets (hardware and software). Ensuring inferior service does not get in the way of delivering the organisations strategic purpose and objectives.
End User Compute Manager background/experience:
As important as your technical skills is your proven ability of strategic planning, excellent communication and strong financial management skills.
You will also require strong leadership skills, as you will recruit, build, guide and inspire the EUC team of staff and external service providers. This is a real opportunity to shape the organisations EUC provision.
You will ideally have achieved a recognised academic qualification (Degree or equivalent ), professional training and/or be able to showcase the relevant practical expertise gained through working at a leadership level previously. You will understand the challenges and drive efficiency when working with service desks and ensuring clear governance across the level of tickets that are passed to your department to resolve (2nd line). ITIL Training and/or experience will be essential within this role.
