IT Support Technician required to work for a wonderful business in the education sector, covering locations and sites that they own across the South West, so there will be quite a bit of travel with this role.
This role is working for the IT Support Manager to provide friendly, pro-active, professional technical support to sites across the South West.
The role:
- Maintain in-house computer systems, wireless infrastructure, switches, routers, desktops and laptops.
- Install, maintain, repair and upgrade hardware.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving in a timely manner.
- Perform system updates to help systems work at their best.
- iPad support.
- Software management and updates e.g. Microsoft packages.
- Remote and onsite support to ensure that all systems are working as they should.
Skills & Experience:
- A proven track record in a Technical Support role would be a huge advantage.
- Experience of working with servers such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Good communication skills, providing updates on any work that is planned or being carried out.
- Confident in installing and configuring new equipment quickly and efficiently.
- Aptitude for problem solving.
- Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full clean driving licence and happy to travel to different sites as part of your working week.
